8. Push and Pull Attraction

As the exams were nearing, college atmosphere has changed to more serene. Groups of students were scattered around the campus making notes, running behind lecturers for additional informations and requesting for sample question papers. 

Library was chaotic and college canteen was deserted. How weirdly funny can that be !!!

Anjali's study group was also busy preparing for the semester exams. Few lectures were held after college hours to support weak students and students with poor attandance. 

" Anjali, we should attend those extra classes." Geetu suggested.

" Some doubts can be cleared and we can get some private tutoring from professors. " She continued.

" OK, lets stay back today after college and attend. " Everyone agreed.

" Hey, I got some good news. Look, what our sweet Physics HoD have shared." Divya cooed in front of the group.

" Its last 5 years worth of exam papers of every subject."

" Woow, thats amazing! This is what we need for practice. How did you get it from Sir?" Sushree asked.

" Well, one of the super Seniors had given it to our Sir and he gave it to me." Divya said with a grin.

" I think Sir has a soft corner for me." Divya said with huge smile on her face.

Eveyone was excited except Anjali. She was feeling jealous. 

" How could he give these papers to Divya and not me", she thought sulking.

During the Physics class, she noticed Sir wasn't looking at her direction. Even when she raised her hand to answer a question, he simply ignored her.

It was hurtful for Anjali and she felt neglected. She wanted to talk to him but Sir was always surrounded by students. She continued sulking.

She thought to make an excuse and meet him after college hours. Yes, that's what she should do. She had also noticed that every alternate day, Sir stayed till late hours in his office and worked. Music could be heard outside and noone disturbed. Today, Anjali decided to disturb him.

" May I come in, Sir ?" Anjali knocked the door.

No response.

" May I come in, please ? " She said again.

No response. She knocked the door little hard and again waited for couple of minutes.

She was about to leave when door opened and she got scared looking at frustrated look on Sir's face. 

" What happened?" He asked without a smile.

" I had few doubts and wanted your help." Anjali replied.

" You should have informed me before barging in like this. Anyways, I have few important work to finish. You can ask your doubts in tomorrow's extra class. Okay? " He replied.

" Okay Sir" . Saying this Anjali left with a huff.

Anjali couldn't bear this distant behaviour and thought to avoid him as well.
